Line Replacement - Florida Ave, Fern St and Club Dr.

As part of the grant awarded to CPW from SCIIP/RIA, New Ellenton CPW will be replacing the water line in some problem areas in the system. Prone to frequent leaks, Florida Ave. and Fern St. located in the town of New Ellenton will be replaced and a section of Club Dr. in Cedar Creek subdivision will be replaced as well. If you have any questions about this or any of our upcoming projects, the public is welcome to attend our monthly Commission meetings held on the 4th Monday of every month.
Line Extension on Chime Bell Church Rd. to Whiskey Rd.

As part of the SCIIP/RIA Grant awarded to CPW in 2023, we are extending our water line on Chime Bell Church Rd. It currently stops around Anderson Pond Rd. The plan is to extend the line from Chime Bell Church Rd/Anderson Pond Rd. all the way to Whiskey Rd. and tie it in with the existing line on Whiskey Rd. at the end of Chime Bell Church Rd.
New Radio Read Meters being installed
March 01, 2021
Beginning on March 1, 2021, a contractor for CPW will be installing 2,200 new radio read meters throughout the system. Some customers already have a radio read meter, therefore their meter will not need to be replaced at this time. We estimate that it will take approximately 10 - 12 weeks to complete the project, depending on the weather. Radio read meters will allow field technicians to read meters more timely and accurate.
UPDATE 2024: New Well at Darlington Site

2020 - We are currently working with our engineering firm, Johnson, Laschober & Associates, P.C., to drill a new well at a site located on Darlington Drive off of Hwy. 19. This will help us to continue to meet the water needs of our customers. The project is slated to take place over the next 6 months to a year.
2024 - After a long delay in getting permits from DHEC, this project is moving forward and sealed bids will be accepted on February 1, 2024 at the New Ellenton CPW office by Director, Danny Lowe.

Tank Painting on Boatner St.

Check out our newly painted tank on Boatner St. in New Ellenton completed on August 27, 2020. It turned out great!!!
