TECHNICIANS PERFORM TYPE OF LINE VERIFICATION
April 14, 2026
April 14, 2026 - New Ellenton CPW, in accordance with the EPA directive of verifying what type of water line is on the customer's side of the meter, will be out checking about 165 locations within the system that is still unverified since this information was requested from customers about 2 years ago. You may see the technician digging around the meter, including the customers side, to check to see if the pipe is lead, copper, galvanized or PVC pipe. This process should last about a month or so.
If you would like additional informantion or have any questions about this initiative from EPA, there is a tab under FORMS & REPORTS listed as "Lead & Copper Information" on the New Ellenton CPW website that explains why EPA is requesting this information.
