SEVERE DROUGHT - WATERING RESTRICTIONS

May 18, 2026

May 18, 2026 - New Ellenton CPW received notice from the SC Drought Response Committee that South Carolina is in a severe drought. Therefore, effective immediately, New Ellenton CPW is issuing MANDATORY WATERING RESTRICTIONS FOR ALL CUSTOMERS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Per NECPW's Drought Response Plan, it would eliminate all unnecessary use of water including washing down sidewalks, driveways, washing buildings for any reason other than immediate fire protection. This will also limit landscape irrigation to Monday, Wednesday and Friday for odd numbered addresses and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for even numbered addresses. Failure to comply with the Madatory Water Restrictions will result in fines.
